City of Cartersville Fire Station No.5

Reeves Young constructed a 12,600-square-foot fire station designed to meet the operational needs of first responders. The facility includes offices, sleeping quarters, break rooms, a kitchen, conference rooms, a spacious apparatus bay, and a large storage building. This modern and functional station supports both emergency response operations and day-to-day activities, ensuring a well-equipped and comfortable environment for firefighters.

City of Sandy Springs Fire Station No. 5

Reeves Young provided Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) services for the construction of the new 10,192-square-foot Fire Station No. 5. This modern two-story facility includes two drive-through apparatus bays, an apparatus storage room, gear storage, equipment storage, and a variety of functional spaces such as a dayroom, living areas, kitchen, dining area, sleeping quarters, restrooms, laundry, fitness room, climbing wall, training room, and offices. The station is also equipped with decontamination showers and state-of-the-art gear wash stations to effectively remove toxins, ensuring firefighter safety after returning from duty. Designed to complement the residential character of the neighborhood, the new station integrates seamlessly into its surroundings while providing essential, cutting-edge facilities for emergency response.

City of Greer Fire Station No. 42

Reeves Young is providing Construction Manager at Risk services for two stand-alone facilities designed to enhance public safety operations. The first project is a new 30,000 SF Fire Station, featuring living spaces, bunkrooms, offices, training areas, a full kitchen, showers, apparatus bay space, and a Police Drop-in Station. This facility is designed to support critical emergency services and training needs, providing modern, functional spaces for first responders.

Gwinnett County Fire Station No.13

Reeves Young provided comprehensive preconstruction and construction services for a single-story fire station designed to support both current operational needs and future growth. The facility features three drive-through apparatus bays, a gear and equipment room, mud room, industrial-grade kitchen, individual bunk-room cubicles, and separate male and female locker and shower facilities. Additional spaces include a Battalion Commander suite, fitness room, day room, dining room, administrative office area, and other essential support areas. The station accommodates a fire engine, ambulance, and a daily staff of five firefighters and paramedics, with the capacity to support up to 11 personnel as future growth demands.

Constructed to meet EarthCraft Light Commercial green building standards, the project reflects a commitment to sustainability by incorporating energy and water efficiency, enhanced building durability, and improved occupant health and comfort. This modern, functional fire station is a testament to Reeves Young’s ability to deliver high-quality, sustainable facilities tailored to the needs of first responders and their communities.

Sandy Springs Fire Station No.2

This project consisted of a new 2-story, 21,143 SF, three-bay fire station. The building includes several new features focused on safety and firefighter’s health. A 1,000 SF gymnasium on the second floor helps keep firefighters in shape. A decontamination area with a separate HVAC and airlock system allows firefighters to change out of and clean dirty turnout gear. An infrared sauna was installed to help with the firefighters’ detoxification process. The facility includes a training stairway with a rappelling wall, tunnel rescue training, and a confined space simulator, providing firefighters with critical training in-house. In the living quarters, the station has both men’s and women’s bathrooms and private sleeping areas for personnel. The first floor contains office space for staff and a conference/ community room. The facility includes a public lobby, decontamination shower, gear wash area, gear storage, equipment storage, living areas, kitchen and dining, conference/community room, offices, storage room with adjacent support areas, sleeping quarters, restrooms, and other associated spaces.

Cartersville Public Safety and Fire Station No. 4

This 55,000 SF public safety complex includes fire and police administration offices, evidence storage, booking, police dispatch, fitness center, locker room, and vehicle bay. The public safety complex also includes Cartersville Fire Station No. 4 with three drive-through bays, day room, and sleeping quarters for 15. The building was designed to provide a back-up location for the emergency operations center with a training room, watch room, and redundant power supply. The new facility was constructed to be LEED Certified, utilizing sustainable site design, water and energy efficiency, and by recycling over 95% of the construction waste.
