Work Safe, Home Safe is more than our safety message. It’s the culture we work to create across every project, office, business unit, and role at Reeves Young.

Construction requires policies, procedures, training, PPE, planning, and accountability to keep our people safe. All of those things matter. But behind every safety rule is an even more important reason to follow it: making sure our people go home safely to the people and things they love.

That’s why the photo sits where it does.

It’s there when someone puts on their vest at the beginning of the day. It’s there during a safety meeting, while walking a jobsite, and when a decision needs to be made in the field. It serves as a simple, personal reminder that working safely isn’t only about protecting yourself.

It’s about who is waiting for you at home.

Everyone Has a Why

One of the things that makes the Why I Work Safe pocket special is that there isn’t a right answer for what belongs inside.

It might hold a family photo from vacation, a picture of someone’s kids, a wedding photo, a best friend, or a favorite dog. What matters is that the person wearing the vest knows exactly why that photo is there.

And while safety may look different depending on someone’s role, that idea applies to everyone at Reeves Young.
