2nd Annual Masters of Design & Build

A few weeks ago, our Nashville team hosted their 2nd annual “Masters of Design & Build” event at Category 10. The night was all about building and strengthening relationships with our trusted Owner and Design partners—complete with drinks, giveaways, and plenty of green!

This year’s event was even more special, as Category 10 is located on one of our signature Nashville projects—the Second Avenue Rebuild. The Second Avenue Rebuild project has been a cornerstone of Nashville’s recovery and revitalization efforts following the 2020 Christmas Day bombing. Reeves Young has been honored to help breathe new life into this iconic stretch of downtown.

Beyond the cocktails and conversation, the evening served as a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when collaboration leads the way. As we reflected on the year’s progress and looked ahead, the backdrop of the Second Avenue Rebuild reminded us of the deeper purpose behind our work. Every brick and beam here tells a story of resilience, and we’re proud to be a part of it.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for a lovely evening. We can’t wait to see what we’ll build together next.

Greenville Drive Game

On a perfect spring evening at Fluor Field, the Reeves Young Greenville office came together for a lovely night of baseball, community, and connection. Our teammates gathered to cheer on the Greenville Drive and celebrate the spirit of teamwork.

As a company that values strong foundations—whether in the structures we build or the relationships we form—this event was a home run in more ways than one. From the crack of the bat to the roar of the crowd, the energy was electric as fans came together to support their home team and enjoy time with colleagues in a fun, relaxed setting.

We’re grateful to the Greenville Drive for hosting us and to our incredible team for making moments like these possible. Here’s to many more innings of community, collaboration, and continued growth—on and off the field.

Reeves Young Celebrates Major Infrastructure Milestones in Jackson County

Last week, Reeves Young proudly celebrated two major achievements in Jackson County, Georgia: the ribbon cutting for a new Transfer Station and the groundbreaking of the Jackson County Public Works Facility.

The newly constructed 15,500-square-foot Transfer Station will more than double the capacity of the existing facility. This much-needed upgrade features a large metal building, reinforced concrete walls, dump stations, lift gates, improved truck logistics, and newly constructed roads with turnaround areas. These enhancements will significantly improve efficiency, safety, and overall operations for waste management in the region.

In addition, the 21,066-square-foot Jackson County Public Works Facility broke ground and will soon serve as a hub for both the Fleet Maintenance and Public Works Departments. The scope of the project includes the demolition of an outdated structure, comprehensive sitework and utility improvements, and the construction of a pre-engineered metal building. The facility will be fully outfitted with finished office spaces, modern MEPF systems, and 12 state-of-the-art service bays. Each bay will be equipped with cranes, vehicle lifts, tailpipe exhaust systems, and other essential maintenance tools.

These projects represent a significant investment in the future of Jackson County. By improving infrastructure, increasing service capacity, and modernizing public service facilities, these developments will enhance operational efficiency and ensure safer, cleaner, and more sustainable environments for residents. Reeves Young is honored to contribute to the growth of this thriving community and looks forward to the continued partnership in building a better Jackson County.

2025 Casino Night

At Reeves Young, we know that strong relationships are the foundation of successful projects—and what better way to strengthen those bonds than a night of fun, laughter, and a little friendly competition?

This year, we put a new spin on our annual Casino Night with a Kentucky Derby theme—complete with festive attire, themed décor, and a live viewing of “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports”. Guests donned their best Derby hats and bowties as we gathered to watch the big race and cheer on our favorites, bringing even more energy and excitement to an already unforgettable evening.

After the race, the fun continued at the tables, where our Atlanta and Greenville teams tried their luck at craps, blackjack, and roulette. With great food, lively conversation, and a room full of camaraderie, the event showcased the very best of our culture—connection, celebration, and collaboration.

Whether they walked away with chips or not, everyone left with something more valuable: a deeper bond with the people they work with every day.

At Reeves Young, we believe that investing in our people and our partnerships is just as important as the work we build. Casino Night is a testament to that belief—where fun meets purpose and every hand dealt builds a stronger team.

Here’s to more moments that bring us together, celebrate our culture, and continue laying the foundation for lasting success.

Safety Stand Down 2025

This week, we joined construction firms across the country in observing Construction Safety Week, a time dedicated to reinforcing our shared commitment to safety. This year, Reeves Young observed a Safety Stand Down dedicated to mental health awareness and suicide prevention. This critical conversation goes beyond job site protocols and hard hats—it’s about fostering a culture where every individual feels seen, supported, and empowered to ask for help.

The Stand Down took place on over 100 job sites across the Southeast. In an industry where physical safety is always top of mind, it’s just as important to prioritize emotional and psychological well-being. This moment of pause allowed us to have open, honest conversations about the pressures many in our industry face and the importance of creating a culture where seeking help is encouraged.

Statistics show that construction workers are at a significantly higher risk of mental health struggles and show higher rates of suicide than the general population. These stats are a call to action. We are committed to providing resources and access to mental health support, training leaders and peers to recognize signs of distress, and speaking openly about breaking the stigma around mental health in the construction industry.

This week—and every week—we reaffirm our dedication to protecting our people in every way possible. Because safety isn’t just about the structures we build, it’s about the lives we touch and the community we create on and off the job site.

If you or someone you know is struggling, please know that help is available. You are not alone. Resources are available online, through our Human Resources department, and through support services across Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Kentucky.

Together, we build safer, healthier futures—for everyone.

National Salad Day

At Reeves Young, we’re building more than just projects—we’re building a culture of health, wellness, and community. This National Salad Day, our team came together to enjoy a refreshing break with fresh, nutrient-packed salads that fueled both body and spirit. It was a great opportunity to step away from our desks, catch up with colleagues, and focus on making healthy choices.

Events like this are a reminder of the importance of taking time to nourish ourselves and connect with others. Whether you’re in the field or the office, we believe in supporting our team’s well-being with fun, health-forward initiatives. Happy National Salad Day from all of us at Reeves Young!
