Last week, Reeves Young proudly celebrated two major achievements in Jackson County, Georgia: the ribbon cutting for a new Transfer Station and the groundbreaking of the Jackson County Public Works Facility.

The newly constructed 15,500-square-foot Transfer Station will more than double the capacity of the existing facility. This much-needed upgrade features a large metal building, reinforced concrete walls, dump stations, lift gates, improved truck logistics, and newly constructed roads with turnaround areas. These enhancements will significantly improve efficiency, safety, and overall operations for waste management in the region.

In addition, the 21,066-square-foot Jackson County Public Works Facility broke ground and will soon serve as a hub for both the Fleet Maintenance and Public Works Departments. The scope of the project includes the demolition of an outdated structure, comprehensive sitework and utility improvements, and the construction of a pre-engineered metal building. The facility will be fully outfitted with finished office spaces, modern MEPF systems, and 12 state-of-the-art service bays. Each bay will be equipped with cranes, vehicle lifts, tailpipe exhaust systems, and other essential maintenance tools.

These projects represent a significant investment in the future of Jackson County. By improving infrastructure, increasing service capacity, and modernizing public service facilities, these developments will enhance operational efficiency and ensure safer, cleaner, and more sustainable environments for residents.
