The City of Norcross marked an important milestone on September 1 with the ribbon cutting and grand opening of its new Public Safety Building, the future home of the Norcross Police Department and Municipal Court.

Designed to meet the city’s current and future public safety needs, the facility brings the Police Department and Municipal Court together in one modern, purpose-built location. It includes a 2,600-square-foot courtroom, a 2,600-square-foot community room, a Real Time Communications Center, training and fitness areas, and updated spaces that support police operations, court services and community engagement.

The Public Safety Building will formally open to the public on Monday, September 14, when Municipal Court holds its first court session in the new facility.

The City extends its appreciation to CROFT & Associates, Reeves Young, Turner & Townsend Heery and everyone whose planning, expertise and hard work helped bring this important project to completion.
