Chamblee plans to turn concrete into community hub in Fish Bolt Park

The $4.6 million project is expected to be open by next summer.

Kimley-Horn designed the park, and Reeves Young is set to follow through on execution as construction managers. Workers will be tasked with preventing flooding, promoting a wetland environment and providing a place for thousands of residents living nearby to enjoy. The park will sit right off the Chamblee Rail Trail.

William Reeves, executive vice president of Reeves Young, said Fishbolt Park should take about a year to complete. It will include an observation deck, nature play area, ADA accessible paths and a mural wall, along with plenty of seating for those needing to rest. The park is expected to open sometime in the summer of 2027.
