How do you play as a team so that your team (Go Braves) can play?

Challenge Faced

This project required significant amounts of logistics coordination because there were 10 other General Contractors on the site with over 3,000 people working days and only one main road into the siteThe contractor for the stadium itself was also utilizing our portion of the job site as a laydown yard for its materials, which created a delay in Reeves Young’s part of the project starting on time.

Solution Provided

Our Project Team met weekly with the Project Managers and Superintendents for all the other simultaneous projects happening, as well as with the Braves and Jones Lang LaSalle project teams. These meetings allowed us to address concerns like crane locations, scheduling concrete pours and steel deliveries, and timing the underground work and paving that needed to be completed. In addition, Reeves Young met with our own Subcontractor teams in order to keep our people informed on what was happening on-site, what crucial schedule items needed to be addressed, and the workforce each subcontractor would need to provide in order to complete their respective scopes of work. In addition, our team worked on an expedited schedule to make up for the delay caused by the use of our project site as a laydown yard at the beginning of the project.

The project management services and level of construction quality delivered by you and your team were fantastic, and well-received by our Company and the Clients we serve. Although we had many challenges along the way, there was never a time when a problem was presented to me without a possible solution offered. To me, that is a prime example of teamwork, dedication, and client advocacy which separates R+Y, from other companies I’ve worked within the past.
